With sentences like "However, in 2014, about 9 million or 6 percent of all U.S. workers were self-employed, which was a decline from 2009 of about 6 million workers " and "Retirement age and Berry Duckworth found himself looking for a new career. " it is easy to see that though this is a college book, nether the authors, nor the editors have passed college composition (English). This is just in the first chapter. On top of this it feels like the authors are trying to force a pretend excitement, and it's just not working. This is not the most exciting topic, but their particular brand of pretend excitement just comes off cheesy. I image most people will use this as a college text book, so it being good doesn't really matter as teachers will still force purchase of the book. I recommend buying the PDF version and save some dough!Product details

Excellent book. Exceeded my expectations with the information it provided.
Great book. We are using it at school and you can learn a lot!
It was required by my college course, so I don't really have an opinion as to whether you should personally purchase this book. It arrived on time in great condition and it was remarkably cheaper than at my college bookstore.
I purchased this product for school, and it served it's purpose. However, it's better to read it and study for yourself. You don't need the hassle of a class to learn about business management.
This is a good primer on management, but don't think that by attending a class with this book that you are prepared to attack the business community and win. This is one of many books published by McGraw-Hill that cover business, and I find them all a little more difficult to put things together than other books on these subjects. Since these are text books and not how to manuals they are about right if you have a teacher that has actually been in business.
As the title of this post indicates, this textbook is an easy read with no confusion. It was a little unexpected to find that this book was done quite well in the way information was organized in order to provide as much information in a smooth way. Not once did I feel lost.
Great textbook. Well written with a lot of insights. I rented the book for my wife's entrepreneur class, she would up dropping the class, but I am still using textbook to learn before I've to return it.
